Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation through his monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat' on Sunday (July 25) at 11 am. This was his 79th edition of the programme and was broadcasted on the entire network of AIR and Doordarshan and also on AIR News and mobile app.

PM Modi began by speaking about our Olympic players and how they have struggled to reach this far after facing a lot of challenges. In order to promote the players and boost their morale, PM Modi announced a 'Victory Punch Campaign' to encourage the players through social media.

He then went on to speak about the Kargil Diwas which will be celebrated on Monday (July 26). He stated, "Kargil war is such a symbol of valour and discipline of our armed forces which the entire world has witnessed. I would like you to read the thrilling story of Kargil. Let us all salute the brave hearts of Kargil."

PM Modi didn't forget to speak about agriculture and farming. Promoting farming of different fruits and vegetables, he said that post-COVID-19, the cultivation of Indian jujubes which is also known as 'Ber' in Hindi has increased. "My young friend is 32-years-old Bikramjeet Chakma from Unakoti, Tripura. He has earned a sizable profit after starting 'ber' cultivation and motivating people for its cultivation."

He further discussed the qualities we receive from banana fibre or food products from banana flour? PM Modi also shared a link to promote the work being done around it in Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka.

Addressing the vaccine hesitancy in the country, PM Modi encouraged the citizens of the country to go ahead and get vaccinated in a unique way. PM Modi promoted a 'Chhole Bhature' seller in Chandigarh's Sector 29 who is offering free food to those who are fully vaccinated. PM Modi appreciated Sanjay Rana Ji, who runs the food stall on his bicycle and requested the people to get vaccinated to avail the wonderful offer.
